Gel Ovations features the finest gel accessories, such as elbow pads, adductor pads, arm pads and more...all of which are designed to optimize comfort and reduce skin pressure. Our products integrate comfort and safety at affordable prices.
Our History
In 1999 as ‘Falcon Gel’, arm pads made of solid gel were designed and offered to power wheelchair consumers - to enhance their health and comfort. Because of its fabulous pressure distributing properties, solid gel of the right hardness and durometer was ideal for this application. The arm pads were a hit. Soon our customers were asking us “could you make us a …..” and a full product line emerged. More than 80% of the products started life as customer requests.
After 5 years of selling Falcon Gel, we realized these products deserved a brand of their own, and the Gel Ovations brand was born. Up to this time, the product line was only for wheelchairs.
Products for other durable medical equipment soon followed. Listening to our customers also caused us to branch a little beyond ‘durable medical equipment accessories’. Gel handle covers made for strollers for children with disabilities soon brought us to selling these products to a wider audience.
Bike handle covers morphed into a product line all their own, and also into products used on lawn mowers and motorcycles.
When the Gel Ovations brand exceeded the 100 products mark, we realized it deserved ‘independence’ – and on January 1, 2009 Gel Ovations LLC started life as an independent company. It is now ‘solely focused’ on creating, manufacturing, and wholesale distribution of the Gel Ovations product line.
This website and the ability it offers our customers to get quotes, place orders, and track shipments in real time on line are some of the first ‘benefits’ of this new transition.
